FETCHING WEB PAGES--Fetching Linked Pages After you have fetched one or more Web pages, you can fetch all linked pages, or a subset of linked pages, by selecting one or more URLs in the print list area, then doing one of the following:
If, for example, you want to fetch all pages that are linked to the selected URL, as well as all pages linked to those pages, you choose the All Linked Pages option. WebRecord then fetches all linked pages, to the maximum fetch depth specified on the Fetching tab of the WebRecord Settings dialog.
The WebRecord fetch operation is a robotic crawler, and as such is constrained by certain rules; for example, servers can disallow a robotic crawler from accessing specific directories. If WebRecord is unable to fetch one or more pages linked to a selected Web page, the Disallowed Pages dialog box is presented, showing a list of the page or pages that have been disallowed. Even though the WebRecord fetch operation is unable to access the listed pages, you yourself can select one or more pages listed in this dialog box to add to your print list, and select the page or pages for printing. | |
